As the virtual fitness industry continues to flourish, Sensor Tower has compiled data on the performance of the top Android virtual fitness programs in the US for the second quarter of 2024. Here's a rundown of how these apps fared during this period.

Wikiloc - Trails of the World saw its revenue fluctuating, peaking in mid-April at approximately $39K before settling around $27K towards the end of June. Downloads showed an upward trend, with an impressive peak of over 13K downloads in late April. Weekly active users reflected a similar pattern, with a notable increase to over 41K active users by mid-June.

Strava: Run, Bike, Hike experienced a more variable revenue pattern, starting at around $23K in early April and dipping to about $15K by the end of June. Download numbers declined from roughly 8K to near 5K in the same period. However, weekly active users remained robust, beginning at over 221K and maintaining a level above 200K throughout the quarter.

Freeletics: Fitness Workouts brought in revenue with peaks and troughs, reaching a high of nearly $3K in mid-May. Downloads saw a peak of over 1K in mid-May, while weekly active users saw a slight decline from 16K to around 14K by the quarter's end.

Fitbit showed modest revenue figures, with a notable increase to above $3K in the last week of June. Downloads remained relatively stable, hovering around 1K throughout the quarter. Weekly active users showed a slight decline but stayed close to the 120K mark.

Lastly, komoot - hike, bike & run had its revenue starting at approximately $3K in April and experiencing a dip towards $1.3K in late April, followed by a rise to nearly $3K by late May. Downloads began strong at over 14K but then settled to around 3K by the end of June. Weekly active users had a noticeable decline from 123K to 91K during the quarter.
